SMS Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 24, 2026 · Effective: July 24, 2026
These terms apply to text messages sent by Panicci Ventures and by Signal, our call-tracking and phone-answering service, on behalf of the businesses that use it. By asking us to text you, you agree to these terms.
01 The messaging program
Signal helps a business answer its phone and keep track of its callers. Two kinds of text messages come out of it:
- Guest messages. If you call a business that uses Signal and ask for a reservation link, an online ordering link, or similar information to be texted to you, we send that link to the number you called from.
- Business alerts. Owners, managers, and staff of a business using Signal can receive operational notifications about their own business, such as an alert when a call is missed or a short daily summary of call activity.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not text people who have not asked to hear from us.
02 How you opt in
Guests opt in verbally, during a phone call that you place to the business. When you ask for a link to be texted to you, and agree to receive it, that is your consent. Nothing is sent unless you ask for it on the call.
Business owners and staff opt in by entering their own mobile number into the alert settings of the Signal dashboard for their business. Whoever enters a number confirms they have permission to receive messages at it.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
03 Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your activity. Guests generally receive one message per request. Business alerts are sent as events happen, plus at most one daily summary.
04 Cost
Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for these messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you for sending or receiving them, depending on your plan. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.
05 How to opt out
You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send one confirmation message and then stop sending you messages. If you want to start again, reply START.
Business users can also remove their number from the alert settings in the Signal dashboard at any time.
06 How to get help
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us using the details in Section 11. If you received a message from a specific business, you can also contact that business directly using the phone number you called.
07 Carriers & delivery
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your device, and we cannot guarantee that every message will arrive.
08 Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties. We use a communications provider (Twilio) solely to deliver messages on our behalf.
For the full picture of how we handle information, see our Privacy Policy SMS Terms.
09 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from the account holder, to receive messages from us. Our services are directed to businesses and their customers in the United States.
10 Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to receive messages after an update means you accept the revised terms.
